Think Pink

Are you thinking pink this month? I'm thinking pink five minutes every month since a close relative did get the dreaded diagnosis; she's well now thanks to the early discovery!

I used Magnolia stamps for the image and they are water coloured with Derwent pencils. Cuttlebug dies for snowflakes and fabric flowers. MS border punch for edges. Stickles, Liquid Pearls and Perfect Pearls for shimmer and sparkle. Distress Inks for paper distressing and stamping TH stamp (small swirl) on backing papers. Flower brad, ribbons and glitter thread are from my stash. (The glitter thread is used by fishers, thanks mum and Bengt!)

Romantic card

I found a fab sketch at Friday Sketchers this week, it was perfect for this card.

The image is from Vintage Stamper (you can find a link to her on my sidebar), it was printed on photo paper for the glossy look.

The design paper is Laura Ashley, thr edge punch is MS, the ovals are made with Spellbinders, the flowers and leaves are made with QK and Cuttlebug dies and two different Stickles gives some interest. Everything else is from my stash.

Hope you're having a good week so far and can stay warm and cozy.

Cool Dude

Hope you've had a wonderful week and are ready for a great weekend, I'm so ready for a relaxing weekend, bring me loads of chocolate, a blanket and a DVD film and I'll be more than pleased. I've just started a course to be able to go back to work again and it's fab, but I'm so sleepy today, he he.

So an easy card this time, the decor papers are digi downloads, stars are QK, alphabet and charm are Cuttlebug. The image is a fab Mo Manning coloured with Derwent watercolour pens, I added some metal details and shiny spots with Sakura pens. The brad is from my stash.

Some cards take me ages to finish but this one was a fast one, I bet the next one will be very time consuming!

Winter Wonderland

I've been playing with my Stampscape stamps again. I stamped them with Memories black ink and brayered the backgrounds with Distress Inks and added highlights with a Sakura white gel pen.
For the background paper I used a Hero Arts stamp, Versamark, pearly and sparkly embossing powder (a mix of two powders) and Distress Inks for distressing.
I also used QK flower die, Cuttlebug snowflake die and Spellbinders oval dies and Liquid Pearls. Brads, gems and ribbons are from my stash.

The perfect blend

Today I had a lunch with hubby close to his office. It was a great treat as we usually are so busy and don't get much time just the two of us together. The lunch was a delicious buffet and I did even get a slice of a wonderful nut and toffee pie to the coffee. Yum! A good start for the weekend and perfect inspiration for a card.

I used a digi win from The Cutting Café, I printed it out as a draft to give a slight impression of a stamped image. I cut out several cups and glued them together and added shimmer with Sakura pens. Shame on me, no coloured image this time, it feels like I'm cheating :)
At least I did get inky fingers as I distressed the papers with Distress Inks!
The gingham paper is Laura Ashley and the others are from my scrap folders.
Ribbons and buttons are from my stash.

Cupcake Craft Challenges: Happy Hour!
For Fun Challenges: Something you bought and haven't used (the white ribbon, it's actually upside down, the colours of the other side don't match any of my papers)

Hope you're having fab plans for the weekend. I'll be sorting out a few cards for sale this weekend; the box with ready cards is bulging again and I will need some space for Christmas cards.

Two very different cards today

The first one is for Simon Says Stamp And Show Challenge - show your numbers. I've used lots of TH stamps and his number masks, Distress Inks, Versa Fine, bleach to blend the black ink, Sakura pen, vintage downloads and Tsukineko embossing powder for the film strip. The film strip and the panel with the masked numbers are attached with 3D tape to add dimension to the card. Paper clips, edge and buttons are from my stash. I'm quite surprised with the result, didn't know I could make a card like this one.

This one was more predictable and I'm pleased with the result. I get so often carried away when making cards that I never know what I'll end up with.

I made a quilt pattern (an easy one) with small scrap pieces and distressed all the edges with DI. I used a MS punch to the red backing paper. I made a small sock, stamped the edges with a TH stamp, added some stitching for texture and Stickles and Liquid Pearls (the white border) for sparkle and shine. The sock is attached with 3D tape to create dimension.

I'm honoured and very happy, I was picked as an Ancient Ages Ginger Gem. You made my day!

Autumnal colours

Aren't the colours of autumn just glorious, so vibrant and hard to catch on a card, but beautiful in the crisp and clean air. I love to take walks and admire the leaves, but today the weather is so windy, maybe it calms down later. It's much better to stay warm and cozy in the craft room :)

I used Penny Black's Leopard's Bane for the image and the decor paper, and a Stampabilities background flourish around the image.
Distress Inks for stamping, distressing and colouring (the ribbon).
Alco Inks and marbles in a plastic box to create the smaller decor paper.
Prima flowers.
Tsukineko clear embossing powder for image.
MS border punch and Cuttlebug embossing plate and border.
QK small leaves die and a Sakura pen to draw the veins.
Acrylic paints to make the paper for the leaves.
Buttons, threads, ribbon and gem are from my stash.

I've been tearing, scratching and sandpapering to make this card and it still looks very clean. I guess it's the colour choice and the white background...well I tried and had fun whilst doing it :)

Stamps are TH : clock, script, umbrella man, sentiment and truck.
Distress inks for stamping and distressing (even on vellum; you need to heat fix it and it will give a nice parchment-like texture, how cool is that!?).
Perfect Pearls for shimmer and Distress Stickles for highlighting the truck.
Tsukineko and Distress Embossing powder.
Cuttlebug flower die and Sizzix flourish.
Notes on vellum is a download and I made good use of an old dictionary with a broken back. Brads are from my stash.
